Botox (Botulinum Toxin Type A) is FDA approved for the treatment of wrinkles between the brows (frown lines). It is mainly used on the upper face and is also an excellent treatment for crow’s feet and forehead lines.
Botox works best for dynamic lines (wrinkles that disappear at rest). Botox blocks the release of a chemical which in turn decreases muscle contractions.
Treatments consist of a few tiny injections that are virtually painless. Tiny amounts of Botox are used. No anesthesia is required. The procedure only takes a few minutes and best of all, there is no down time! Results will be evident in 7-14 days and will persist for 3-4 months.

Botox for Sweating
Botox is FDA approved for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) that is not controlled by topical agents. The most common area treated is under the arms, but hands and feet may also be treated. Botox temporarily blocks the body’s chemical signals that stimulate the sweat glands to work.
The treatment consists of multiple tiny injections. Results are rapid, most patients notice a decrease in sweating within 1-2 weeks. Results should last at least 6 months and up to 12 months in some patients.
